What Did I See?

It came from the railroad tracks, trotted down the centerline of the road, then crossed the highway and went into the woods.

Fucked up dog? Chupacabra? Fox? Coyote? I couldn’t get a good look at it with the sun ahead of me, and being far-ish away. It had long ears, four legs, a long tail, and was tan with darker tan or brownish spots.
